The story
Renewables, properly.
Barrie Summers has spent 12+ years working in renewables, most of it hands-on with heat pumps — installing them, fixing them, and learning exactly where they tend to go wrong. Along the way he trained directly with Mitsubishi, Vaillant and Stiebel Eltron, so nothing here is guesswork — every service follows the manufacturer standard.
The motorbike isn't a gimmick. It started as the quickest way to get to site visits without sitting in traffic across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire, and it stayed because it suits the way the work gets done: no fuss, straight to the job, usually early.
Heat Pump Biker Limited was set up to do one thing well — look after heat pumps properly, whoever installed them. A lot of systems out here were fitted by installers who've since moved on, gone quiet, or simply don't do servicing. Those systems get taken on too. How we work
Fewer jobs, done properly, beats more jobs done fast.
A heat pump service is only worth having if it’s thorough — system pressure checked properly, the pressure relief and safety valves tested, controls actually tuned, water quality tested, not just a quick look and a sticker. A smaller number of visits a day, each one done right, beats rushing through a long list.
Every service ends with a full written report and photos, so you can see exactly what was checked and why — not just take our word for it.
A care plan spreads that across the year rather than paying in one go, and the higher tiers add priority booking and no seasonal uplift if something fails in December. Routine services run January to November — December is kept clear for breakdowns.
